Derek Lee is a researcher for the Consumer Insights practice (Facebook IQ – http://insights.fb.com), under the Facebook Marketing Science team. In his present role, he leads audience insights work across Asia Pacific at Facebook. He is also responsible for planning and delivery of research and analytics that combine commissioned 3rd party work with Facebook data to uncover unique, people-centric and actionable insights.
He graduated from Singapore Management University, where he attained a double major in Information Systems Management and Advanced Business Technology (Business Intelligence Analytics track). As part of his final year project, he was part of a team that developed a mobile application for SG Gives, a non-profit organization in Singapore. They were awarded best social innovation prize and best business product prizes by Lien Foundation and Singapore Land Authority respectively.
